Map of schools that have submitted Student Vote Nova Scotia results

Elementary and high school students across the province participated in Student Vote: a parallel election program coinciding with the Nova Scotia provincial election.

22,784 votes were reported from 196 schools, and results were submitted from all 51 Nova Scotia electoral districts. In preliminary results, students elected a Liberal government and a PC opposition.

The Student Vote program combines in-class learning, family dialogue, media literacy and an authentic in-school vote on the official election candidates. Student Vote is the flagship program of CIVIX.

CIVIX partnered with Elections Nova Scotia and the Democracy 250 Youth Engagement Legacy Trust to conduct a province-wide Student Vote for students in elementary, middle and high schools. This will be the sixth Student Vote program in Nova Scotia.
